January 11-24
Monday-Friday, 6:30 am | Saturday, 8:00 am
Join us for two weeks at the beginning of the year to focus on God and His path for us! If you are unable to join us in person, you can join us on our Facebook page HERE.
WEEK 1
Day 1: Sunday, January 11
Emphasis: The Lost
Scripture: Mark 16:15 “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’”
Prayer Focus: For those who do not know Christ to discover the loving embrace of Christ and that we be agents in helping spread this gospel.
Day 2: Monday, January 12
Emphasis: Outreach to the Community
Scripture: “After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.’” Luke 10:1-4
Prayer Focus: That our church breaks down its walls to go out into our community and embrace those around us.
Day 3: Tuesday, January 13
Emphasis: New Creation
Scripture: “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 22:1-5
Prayer Focus: For the hope that one day creation will be made anew like it was in the Garden.
Day 4: Wednesday, January 14
Emphasis: Local and National Leaders
Scripture: “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Jeremiah 29:
Prayer Focus: For our leaders to understand love and compassion for those they serve.
Day 5: Thursday, January 15
Emphasis: Healing (Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual)
Scripture: “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:13-16
Prayer Focus: For any and all afflictions to be healed in our lives and in the lives of others.
Day 6: Friday, January 16
Emphasis: Personal Prayer
Scripture: “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:5-8
Prayer Focus: For our personal devotional time to be dedicated to spending that time with the Father and for all distractions to leave our minds.
Day 7: Saturday, January 17
Emphasis: Missionally Focused
Scripture: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
Prayer Focus: For our mindset as a church to be outwardly focused towards those around us and for those we cannot see across the world.
WEEK 2
Day 8: Sunday, January 18
Emphasis: Finances
Scripture: “Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying, ‘Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.’ Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.” Genesis 14:18-20
Prayer Focus: That the Lord would inspire the hearts of the Calvary family to be faithful in their tithes and offerings as an act of worship, and that He would bless every gift to further the work of His Kingdom.
Day 9: Monday, January 19
Emphasis: Church Growth
Scripture: “That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Matthew 13:1-9
Prayer Focus: For our church to be so loving and welcoming that the seeds we spread will create plants that begin to flourish and from there spread their own seeds.
Day 10: Tuesday, January 20
Emphasis: Praise and Worship
Scripture: “Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:
Prayer Focus: For our hearts and souls to be opened to the movement of the Spirit and all of our attention be towards Christ.
Day 11: Wednesday, January 21
Emphasis: Youth and Children
Scriptures: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4: 12
“People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’ And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.” Mark 10:13-16
Prayer Focus: For our younger generations to fall in love with Christ and be filled with the joy of knowing Christ loves them. Pray that their faith’s foundation is solid as they grow up and experience this broken world.
Day 12: Thursday, January 22
Emphasis: Church Leadership
Scripture: “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” 1 Corinthians 1:10
Prayer Focus: For all church leaders and those called to leadership to always be directed by the will of the Spirit and direct a church based on the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.

Day 14: Saturday, January 24
Emphasis: Relationships (Marriages, Friendships, Family, etc.)
Scripture: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
