HOUSTON LEVEE COWBOY CHURCH VISION
Our vision is to be a place of grace that equips individuals to be fully devoted followers of Christ within the cowboy culture.
GRACE - As Scripture says, “let your speech be seasoned as it were with grace.” Our desire is to respond to others (through speech, actions & deeds) without judgment nor condemnation, while holding those who gather accountable in love. (2 Peter 3:18; 1 Peter 1:2, 4-10; Matthew 7:1-2; Colossians 4:6; Ephesians 6:4)
EQUIP - As Paul wrote, “..that you might be adequately equipped for every good work.” Our desire is to fully equip every person so that they can fully pursue the good works God has called them to do. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 13:21; 1 Timothy 4:7)
DEVOTED FOLLOWERS - “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.” Our desire is to raise up individuals within the horse loving community, who will be devoted followers of Christ and who will go and make disciples of the nations. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15; Luke 14:23)
COWBOY CULTURE - “… I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.” Our desire is to be culturally relevant to the people God has called us to reach, within the horse community and western heritage culture, and to do whatever is necessary to see them enter the Kingdom of God as God’s children. (Matthew 22:36-39; Galatians 5:13-14; 1 Corinthians 9; 19-22)
