Calvary Pictures, a creative ministry of Calvary Church, was born out of the desire to expand the ministry of Calvary Church beyond one physical campus in Cordova, TN into a local and global community.   This communication expands beyond local church music and drama into a worldwide market that includes an infinite array of mediums with limitless access.
THE GRACE CARD

In the fall of 2008, Memphis optometrist and Calvary Church’s resident producer, David Evans began to dream about the potential to produce a faith-based film. THE GRACE CARD is Calvary Pictures’ first film project. The original story, written by Dr. Evans, is about two policemen – one white, one black – who experience the destructive power of anger and the healing power of forgiveness. Over fifty Memphis churches were represented at open auditions, and the people of Calvary Church were involved at almost every level of the production. Filming was completed in just 30 days, and all scenes were shot on location in Memphis.  THE GRACE CARD released in theaters nationwide on February 25, 2011, and the DVD has now been viewed around the world.

INDIVISIBLE

Calvary Pictures’ second project, INDIVISIBLE is based on the inspirational true story of Army Chaplain Darren Turner and his wife, Heather. During Darren’s first deployment to Iraq in 2007, he provides encouragement and strength to the troops in his unit. When he returns to the US, Darren struggles to reconcile his experiences in Iraq with suburban life, and his once-strong marriage begins to falter. Seeing that he is in crisis, the same soldiers he helped in Iraq help Darren return to his family and rediscover a greater purpose for his life. The nationwide theatrical release of INDIVISIBLE was on October 26, 2018.
