From the Heart of the Pastor:

Calvary Church is known for Making A Difference in our community. We are very involved in several “Making A Difference” projects: The Boys & Girls Club; Nursing Home; Jail Ministry and Ministry to the homeless. The production of: The Grace Card movie, our Support of The Jesus Film Project, as well as the missionaries we support in 156 different world areas. We are attempting to BE the church that Jesus Christ died for us to be. YET, over these last several months, God has been personally dealing with me about the need to be a church known as: “A House Of Prayer”. He has reminded me how prayer must undergird all that we do and every ministry we are involved in. Indeed, I feel God has been speaking to me over these last several months with intentionality to change the ‘culture’ or the ‘fabric’ or our fellowship, and to make prayer the basic D.N.A. of who we are as a church. Not to add another program, but to truly become all He intends for us to be as His body.

So – beginning 2012 we are implementing a couple of different things, the biggest change is that in addition to our other prayer ministries we will begin a corporate prayer meeting on the last Sunday night of every month. In this setting, the wonderful people of this church will come together to pray over the needs that have been submitted to this body, on behalf of their friends, community, nation and world. If you would like to submit a prayer request you may do so by clicking the “Prayer Request” button to the right and know with certainty that we will be agreeing in prayer on behalf of that need and in accordance with God’s will. We also encourage you to share answers to prayer as well. It’s always an encouragement to hear how God is meeting the needs of His people (click the "Praise Report" button to share with us).
