14 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING
January 5-19, 2025

"I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands." Isaiah 43:19
Hey, Calvary Family! We are so excited to start our 14-day journey of prayer and fasting on January 5! What a wonderful way to start off a new year! We received so many powerful testimonies of how God moved during our last series of praying and fasting together corporately and are expecting great things to take place again. DAILY THEME / PRAYER FOCUS / SCRIPTURE

DAY 1 – January 5
Theme - Praise and Worship (Sunday)
Prayer Focus - Through praise and worship we come into God’s presence and reflect on who He is. We thank Him for what He has done.
Scripture – “Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3

DAY 2 – January 6
Theme - Repentance
Prayer Focus - Getting our hearts right with the Lord and with our brothers and sisters. Let’s look at God and turn from our ways to His ways so that we can set our hearts toward Heaven for the next 14 days and expect great things for our church and community during this fast.
Scripture – “Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.” Joel 2:13

DAY 3 – January 7
Theme - Finances
Prayer Focus - That the Lord would move on people of Calvary’s hearts to be faithful in giving tithes and offerings as worship to Him. That this church would flourish in financial provision.
Scripture – “Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying, ‘Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.’ Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.” Genesis 14:18-20

DAY 4 – January 8
Theme - Missionally Driven
Prayer Focus - That God would move on people's hearts at Calvary to go out into the community, visit the sick, visit those in prison, those that are the least of these. We pray that our hearts desire to know Jesus by knowing the people that are hungry, thirsty, and strangers.  Pray that we would be people of strategy and serve the Lord’s heart where it is needed in our region.
Scripture – “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. ‘Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
‘Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give You something to drink?  When did we see You a stranger and invite You in, or needing clothes and clothe You? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit You?”
‘The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever You did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, You did for me.”
‘Then He will say to those on his left, “Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave Me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after Me.” ‘They also will answer, “Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help You?”
‘He will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.” ‘Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.’”
Matthew 25:31-46

DAY 5 – January 9
Theme - Local Leaders, National Leaders, World Leaders
Prayer Focus - Pray that local, national, and world leaders and influencers will turn from their ways to God’s ways to be used as God’s instruments to take care of His people. We pray protection over the politicians and for God’s grace to be with them.
Scripture – “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2: 1-4

DAY 6 – January 10
Theme - Young Generation
Prayer Focus - That this young generation would be turned to God and lit on fire for His ways! We want to see them know Jesus and make Him known. Pray protection over them from culture.
Scripture – “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4: 12

DAY 7 – January 11
Theme - Restoration in Families
Prayer Focus - To have families that are loving one another in the same way Christ loves us all. For families that are estranged from each other to find restoration.
Scripture – “After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10

DAY 8 – January 12
Theme - Unchurched and Lost
Prayer Focus - For the unchurched to come into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and for Christ to use each one of us to impact those people that are being transformed by Christ.
Scripture – “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’” Mark 16:15

DAY 9 – January 13
Theme - Healing Physically and Emotionally
Prayer Focus - Pray for physical healing through the Blood of Jesus and that people would experience His power and love in that way. We also pray for mental and emotional healing through the power of the Cross of Christ! This is the inheritance of the saints of God.
Scripture – “When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, ‘Do you want to get well?’ ‘Sir,’ the invalid replied, ‘I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.’ At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath.” John 5:6-9

DAY 10 – January 14
Theme - Public School Systems
Prayer Focus - For the public school to be a safe place where teachers and students are turned to Christ and to live a life for Him. For schools to quit teaching children about gender identity so that the students can find their identity in Jesus Christ and not in the world. Pray protection over the students and teachers.
Scripture – “For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise, they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.” Matthew 13:15

DAY 11 – January 15
Theme - Finances
Prayer Focus - That the Lord would move on people of Calvary’s hearts to be faithful in giving tithes and offerings as worship to Him. That this church would flourish in financial provision.
Scripture - “They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing.” Psalm 37:26

DAY 12 – January 16
Theme - Breaking Free from Addiction, Cultural Issues Such as Abortion, Gender Identity, and Child Mutilation
Prayer Focus - For all of Calvary to be freed from whatever is holding them back from going all in for Christ and loving the community around them.
We lift the nation up to know that the sanctity of life is precious, and God wants babies in the womb from conception to grow into whatever plans He has for their lives. We pray against the enemy’s lies that he feeds people about who they are. We pray for the puberty blockers and sex operations to cease that are taking place in our world and our nation. We pray the truth is revealed how this destroys children's lives.
Scriptures – “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
“So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in Me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Matthew 18:6

DAY 13 – January 17
Theme - Leadership in the Church
Prayer Focus - We lift up the leaders of the church, not only the staff but the congregants for them to step into leadership roles so that the church can be an organization that flourishes. We pray leaders are raised up so the community and the lives of the people surrounding Calvary can be changed because we are Jesus' body.
Scripture – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” Philippians 2:3

DAY 14 – January 18
Theme - Unity and Revival in God’s Church!
Prayer Focus - We are praying for God's breath to move through Calvary and Cavalry to be used to change the community around us. Also praying for crime to go down because God is using Calvary to meet the community and for lives to be changed through Calvary.
Scripture – “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1
